EROS B started to deliver images of the European part of Russia and CIS
EROS B satellite opened its first imagery season in Russia and the CIS countries. On March 26, 2007 the Moscow ground receiving station of ScanEx R&D Center acquired first images of the city of Kiev from EROS È satellite. In 2007, ScanEx intends to provide for maximum coverage of towns in the European part of Russia and CIS.
More details on EROS B features are available in Data section of the ScanEx website. This is the second satellite of the Israeli EROS program (Earth Resources Observation System). The new satellite, as well as its predecessor EROS A, has the imager instruments onboard, delivering data in panchromatic mode, but with a better spatial resolution of 0.7 meters.
To date, EROS B – is the unique extra-high resolution program, enabling to receive near real-time data directly to the stations, located on the territory of Russia. ScanEx R&D Center accepts orders for EROS B satellite targeted imaging.
