ScanMagic upgraded version for METOP and FengYun satellites meteodata processing
Geo-located data of the European part of Russia, acquired from METOP satellite on May 4, 2007 and processed by the new version of ScanMagic LL software.
Cyclone over Russia, geo-located image, acquired from FengYun-1D satellite on May 24, 2007 and processed using the new version of ScanMagic LL software.
ScanEx R&D Center declared the issue of the new version of ScanMagic LL 1.9.5 software capable of processing the meteodata delivered from the METOP and FengYun satellites.
The new version of ScanMagic LL 1.9.5 is the light version of the basic ScanMagic software application. It is supplied as set together with the new small-size universal station, created on the basis of the Alice-SC ground station for the reception of meteodata from three operators: NOAA (USA), METOP (Europe) and FengYun (China). Alice-SC used to support data reception and processing only from the NOAA series in HRPT mode (High Resolution Picture Transmission) using ScanMagic LL software before.
ScanMagic LL 1.9.5 software is easy-to-use and powerful software for viewing, analyzing and processing of Earth remote sensing data acquired from space (http://www.scanex.com/en/software/scanmagic). Now the application enables to import the following data types:
• SCANEX NOAA APT - NOAA APT data of Level 0, created by the reception station;
• SCANEX NOAA HRPT/RAW - NOAA HRPT data of Level 0, created by the reception station;
• SCANEX NOAA HRPT/DUF2 - NOAA HRPT data of Level 0 of form of fragments, cropped within the previously used ScanViewer software;
• SCANEX FengYun CHRPT - FengYun CHRPT data of Level 0, created by the reception station;
• NOAA L1B – radiometrically calibrated HRPT products of Level 1B from NOAA and METOP satellites in widely used exchange format (format sub-versions: NOAA-KLM L1B, NOAA-N L1B, AAPP L1B).
ScanMagic software in basic configuration has been used in 22 world countries (about 200 installations). Free ScanMagic Lite 1.9 version, available at ScanEx’s site http://www.scanex.com/ru/software/scanmagic/ScanMagicLite194.zip, can be used to familiarize oneself with the software basic functions and features.:
