The Biennial International Conference “Earth from space –the most effective solutions” - is one of the largest and most important events in the sphere of remote sensing on the territory of Russia and CIS, every two years gathers about 300 participants from different countries,
representatives of the world leading remote sensing programs, data processing software developers and receiving stations producers, as well as members from different organizations and leading specialist that use remotely sensed data for decision making to resolve a variety of practical tasks: from management of territories and big industrial facilities, real-time monitoring, including emergencies, to development and implementation of socio-cultural and educational projects and programs.

Workshops, seminars, master classes, conference hall exhibitions and unique outdoor demonstrations of real-time satellite data acquisition hardware will be held, encouraging attendees to take part in and to learn more about the methods of reception, processing and interpretation of remotely sensed data, using state-of-the-art software tools.
The goal of the conference is to show the experience of practical use of satellite monitoring in different branches of economy together with the recent developments in remote sensing as the backbone of cost-efficiently functioning economic systems.

Workshops, seminars, master classes, exhibition in the conference hall and outdoor exhibition are arranged during the conference dedicated to advanced techniques in reception, processing and interpretation of remote sensing data, up-to-date foreign and Russian software technologies, products, services, developments and inventions in remote sensing and related spheres, demonstration of modern outdoor equipment and technologies for real-time satellite data acquisition.

The International Conference “Earth from Space – the most effective solutions” is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate and discover the latest developments, innovations and achievements in sphere of space information technology.


The 3rd International Conference “Earth from Space – the most effective solutions” is sponsored by an influential ISPRS organization (International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) with the information support from RBC publishing house, GIS-association, Geoprofi magazine, as well as foreign mass media representatives: GIM International and GIS Development.

Education for sustainable development: New Information Technologies


Educational session will hold its meetings at two locations: in Vatutinki Moscow Region recreation complex and Cosmonautics Memorial Museum.

The educational session conference will be attended by representatives of secondary and higher educational institutions, research and development organizations, cultural community, pilot-cosmonauts and mass media.

Organization and activities of the educational session are supported by the Russian Cosmonautics Federation.

1. Plenary meeting:
• Domestic and international experience of using Earth remote sensing data in educational programs and projects;
• Use of space images and 3D modeling for development of educational GIS;

2. Pilot cosmonaut master class for designers, artists, WEB-designers, school and college students, using Earth images from space in their works;
3. Poster presentations of teachers and school/college students from different regions of Russian Federation;
4. Press conference for Mass Media representatives (15-20 minutes).

The agenda of the educational session conference at exposition area of the Cosmonautics Memorial Museum will include art works expositions of pilot-cosmonauts, designers, spacescape artists using Earth images from space, tours over new CMM expositions, conference with the crew of the International Space Station, demonstration of educational multi-media products of ScanEx R&D Center and the Cosmonautics Memorial Museum.
