ScanMagic® application has tools of access to world leading map Internet-services, such as Microsoft Virtual Earth, Google Maps, Google Earth, Yahoo! Maps, enabling to use the existing multi-terabyte global mosaics of the Earth as base maps during operational RS data processing, which is especially in demand when there is a lack of detailed and updated digital vector maps.

The application has a unified for all services access interface, allows the user to work with several windows of different services simultaneously and toggle map resources and data representation types interactively, to do fast relocation to the area with specified objects coordinates on-line.

In-sync relocation of the preview area when operating with RS data in ScanMagic® application makes it easier to set up ground control points for image geolocation correction. Introduction of KML images on Google Earth map coverage and review of 3D terrain model can be used as additional image analysis and geolocation QC tools.
